New room

I've had the itch to change up my room. The morning of father's and son's camp out I realized I had the perfect opportunity. Chris was leaving, meaning I had no one there to tell me I had to put down a drop cloth or tape off the ceiling and baseboards. I used up our supply of random gift cards to buy the bedding. In total I spent 9 dollars on this!

My inspiration came from these lap shapes I made a year ago while house/babysitting for a friend for a week. You know when your in someone else's house there really isn't much to do than watch TV. (My car couldn't fit my 2 kids and her 3...stranded!) So I grabbed a sheet and worked on these.

over the last year I've been gradually switching everything tan to crisp clean white!

I also switched to a duvet...Jenye you were right!

These pillows were a sacrifice from another sheet and table cloth

Still trying to decide what to do with this beauty...will post a final picture when it's all done still work in progress and I love it.

Nevermind the cute little girl in these pictures. There will be an entire post about her from this day tittled, She's 2! This post is all about the cute daddy. After Giada's party she wanted to show daddy all her fun dress up clothes. Chris sat on the bench commented on everything she pulled out and put on. He steals my heart in these moments. My kids are my life and I love that my life is dedicated to raising them but chris is my number one. He is my best friend and the person I gladly go to bed with every night and wake up to every morning. He knows me at my best and my worst. I feel so blessed to be surrounded by babies who are half him. I love my Mr. Chris.

I'm reading President Monson's biography. I feel sorry for Chris whenever I read a book I zone out and dive head over heels in. I guess that's why I don't do it often. Any way this book has inspired me on multiple levels but here's the major one that hits home today...

ps. The name baby eye balls, is one she made up. when she opened her doll on Christmas she noticed her eye balls close when you lay down. This stressed Gigi out. All day we heard her saying, "Eye balls, a eyeballs? a eye balls!!!" in the back seat at we drove to our next destination. It still stresses the poor thing out and we have to reassure constantly that baby eyeballs is okay!

Blog or not to blog

I feel I have failed my blog. For 4.5 years I have told my self I am making a blog book. We have a had a blog since day one in our marriage. We'll maybe month two of our marriage when you include moving, honeymoon and other stuff. I dabble in the idea of starting another one, with a better determination to document my babies lives.
When we lived away from family it was away to keep in touch with them. Now that we live by them it's away to keep in touch with friends we met while away. (catch all that) I also get sick of reading blogs like" the only we fight about is who loves eachother more" Gag me! I love chris more than anything in the world and every day I thank my lucky stars (or Heavenly Father) for giving him to me when I was in no way mature enough to realize what a stinkin amazing catch he was! But blogs devoted to only that are ridiculous especially when you know the behind the scenes stuff that doesn't make it to the blog post. Any who, to blog or not to blog, call it quits or dig my heels in and try better.

Maybe I'll just add a picture a day.

Chris and I did a photo shoot tonight. I was his test shot before the family showed up. I get to be his assistant. Yep it's pretty glamorous. I get to stand behind him with a singing frog trying to gets kids attention. I love seeing the cutie pie kids and getting to be with Chris alone for a few hours. It's pretty amazing that he can make a picture look this good when you should see what the subject looked like in real life. He's gotten great at this photography thing. The only thing we fight about is who loves eachother more....hehehe

Chris' Aunt Angie(our kids call her Grangie short for Great Aunt Angie) is battling cancer. My kids are so lucky to have her. She is so much more than an aunt more like another grandma. She's beautiful and I wish she wasn't having to go through this.

This is my all time favorite picture taken last Easter. I have it printed in my living room and it always brings a smile to my face to see it. Please include her in your prayers that as she said tonight be able to "Kick Mr. C's Hiney"

I am so thankful for pictures. I wonder if I would even remember this moment if it wasn't for a picture. This morning was so precious. I want to remember it forever but there are no pictures to spark the memory. Statton is always the first one awake and he comes and whispers to us, "Mommy daddy, I think it's wake up time now." We tell him to play in his room for a while and he obediently does. Today when he heard Giada starting to talk he opened her door and said "Good Morning Gi-eeg. Do you want me to come in and play with you."(in a little voice oyu use when talking to babies)

Giada yelled, "I Stattee"(meaning hi Stattee) He climbed in and they played. They were happy. They were excited to see each other first thing in the morning. These two make me complete. Everyday I feel this little snuggle feeling and I say to myself, "I love my little family"

My friend Eve and Charlotte brought their babies over for a play date. I loved the baby fix. These two are such awesome mommas it was a great day....Can't wait till next month gals. It felt like we were back in jr high or high school again only the only guys we talked about were our husbands and we changed a ton of diapers!

This pit has been the eye sore of our backyard since we moved in. Finally it's coming together. It is our canstant goal to stay up on our finances so it's come a little at a time.

My kids love their daddy so much. .if they could be anywhere in the world they would choose to be right next to daddy.

Giada just found out where dad was after looking all over the house...To Giada this is paradise dirt and a dad!

Statton and Mommo's birthday party.

She had a red velvet cake and Statt had this beach cake decorated by all the cousins. They each had a baggie of graham crackers to crush up for sand and we had fun placing everyones teddy graham in different parts of the pool. Aunt patty, Grandma, and Grangie are laying out, aunt Jess is on the slide and everyone else gets to play in the pool.

Statton went with Chris and his scouts to the D-backs game. Statton loves scouts. He goes every week and prays for them every night. It's something to be missed because Chris was just called to Elders Quorum Presidency. I was so happy to be done with scouts until I realized Statt was loosing his favorite thing to do.

I helped throw bridal shower for my best friend Andi. We became friends over a science fair project in the 5th grade! Our sophomore/junior years we had the exact same schedule. I couldn't be happier for her. They truly were meant to be together, two peas in a pod.

Our friends Ashley and Jon came to stay with us. I miss you Ashley. I highly recommend AZ. Or we'll all just move to Midway?...I'm down.

Statton's First Day Preschool

(this was a at 6 am, he had himself dress with backpack on ready to start school 3.5 hours away)

I love his "Light McQueen backpack and Buzz Lightyear lunch box"...especially when he technically doesn't need either of them.

My Aunt Lois used to buy us dresses they were called the "Aunt Lois Dresses" (go figure) I put it on Giada since she'll soon be to big. So funny I contemplated her wearing it to church but I think it looked too polygamist compound. I love this dress I wish I had some pictures of me in it.

We also included a week trip to Wisconsin to visit my Dad, it was a blast. I love Wisconsin.

Babysitting co-op

I have gotten a few questions about the babysitting co-op that I'm in. It's a amzing and a huge blessing. I will try to explain.

Ten mommies all start out with 30 tickets(one ticket equals hour of babysitting for one kiddo)
Ten shifts M-F (2 shifts a day, 9-12 and 12-3)

Each mom is assigned one 3 hour shift a week. For me I picked the Wednesday morning shift. On that morning people can drop their kids at my house and I am paid one ticket per hour per child. Then the rest of the time I have somewhere to take my kids if I have a dr.s apt or if I just want to go grocery shopping by myself.

No one can abuse the system because if they're using it a lot that means they are watching a lot of kids on their shifts and collecting tickets. It's great for holiday seasons when there is so much to get done. It builds relationship with other moms around you. The kids are all friends and look forward to having their buddies over. It gets your kids used to the fact that mommy goes away, but always come back. Just thought I'd share and pass along the great idea...

-one more rule we go by is that all children dropped off have to be over the age of one.

-you only have to be at your house for the first 30minutes of your shift. If no kids have been dropped offby that time you are free to leave unless someone has arranged to dropp off at a later time.

that's all folks. This is my second year in it and I HIGHLY recommend this to all stay at home mommies.

Turks and Caicos

Trying out our new child proof water drop freeze resistant Camera. Chris ran in under the faucet to get the sand off of it and said, "This goes against everything i ever been taught." true

Pa-Pa-Paradise! Saltiest water ever was in Turks and Caicos. All you had to do was lean back and you could float! My eyes burned! Another interesting fact here was that all arounf the island the water is petty shallow and only get to about 18 feet deep and then it just drops off to 7000 feet. Hence the light aqua water and then deep blue water

I seem to always come home from vacation with pictures of strangers. These impressed me so much. The mom of the group is 89 years old. She cant walk that well. She old kinda hard of hearing and is on a cruise. Every where they went there was a daughter on eiter side of her

Day 4 Nassau

And yes we swam with Sharks. About 15 of them in middle of the ocean. REAL WILD SHARKS. We weren't allowed to swim with our hands because they look like fish food! There is a lot more to this story but I'm tired of typing. It's where thy filmed shark week '08!

O'm not one that like souvenirs. I don't need shot glasses or mugs or a T-shirt I'll never wearing that has some ridiculous logo of the Bahamas but I do love souvenirs that mean some thing. We saw this store and I thought a pillow to go on our bed would be perfect. So I pick out one I love that will go with our room and we keep looking around. Then I see the price of a napkin ring and freaked out..."If the napkin ring is $100.00 then how much is this pillow I'm holding...500 bucks!!! So we got it. It was a little pricey but worth it....kidding NO WAY! Even if I had the money I would never send that on a PILLOW

I would like to count my blessings as the Dad of a very smart little boy. Yesterday my son was saved from an unknown amount of pain and possibly worse thanks to morning prayers and lots of protection from our Heavenly Father. We had attended a dinner just down the street at the house of a friend. On the way back I took Statton’s hand and we took the time to look both ways and make sure all was clear before crossing the only street with a minimal amount of traffic. He did, like usual, wait patiently as we surveyed the traffic to see if anyone was coming. No cars… so we crossed. As we headed home, in the last 50 yards, he decided he wanted to run ahead of us on the sidewalk on the way home. My wife and I were chatting and I was holding our baby girl. When I looked up I saw a white SUV backing out of a driveway two houses down from ours and frantically thought... “Where is my son?”. He was in plain view, but my mind was trying to make calculations as I looked at the SUV, it’s speed, my son, his speed, and the entire situation. As I looked toward my baby boy after noticing the SUV (it seemed like seconds became hours) I realized he had stopped dead in his tracks, just before the start of the driveway where the SUV was backing out and he was yelling “hello” and telling us that the car was backing out in his usual excited tone. I thank my Heavenly Father for smart little boys who, without being asked, watch for cars to back out… for guardian angels who watch over us more than we know…for morning prayers that ask for help against all that can happen each day…and for big hugs and kisses from two year olds that don’t even know how much they mean. Life is short, I hope I always remember what matters.

In conjunction with the previous post I figured I would tell of my favorite place...Superstition Ranch Market between Higley and Greenfeild on Main south side of the road.

Last time I was there I got

4 lb. Strawberries
1 Bunch of Kale
1 large watermelon
1 large Honey Dew
10 kiwis
5 lb. Green seedless grapes
3 bunches of Leeks
5 lb. bananas
1 head of Red cabage
4 red bell pepper
3 orange bell pepper
3 yellow bell peper
5 lb. yellow squash
3 cucumbers
2 bunches of Spinach
2apricots
7 lb. carrots
6 mangos

total $27.34
Roughly 45 pounds of Vegetables and fruits for under 30 bucks. My sister and I go there once a week. It's A-mazing pretty much my fav thing about the east valley!

Tips for shopping there

- if your planning on making jelly or canning go to the back of the store and asked to know the price if bought by the case. Last year we got 90 lbs of peaches for $36. That's FOURty CENTS a POUND.(Anyone want some canned peaches? I have a ton and I heard they are only good a year which is up in July.)

-Bring Patience. that part of Mesa is Old Folks City, they drive big cars and are very slow but respect the elderly and just have patience with them. Some day you'll be slow and want good veggies to eat.

-Preserve the berries. They tend to mold fast so wash them in 3 cups of water to 1 cup vinegar. Then rinse and they tend to last longer

-near the front of the store they have a grocery basket with fruit that doesn't look the best but you can get quite a deal. I got bags filled with lightly bruised apples for only a dollar. what's a little bruising they get that from Statton "helping" wash them. I was dehydrating apple slices for about a week and half.

-I only buy enough for one week past that it goes bad but no worries...I'll be back the next week to resupply

- you never know what the deals will be. It's like gambling. Brie (my sis) and I call eachother and give each other the scoop, "Brie, blueberries 2 for a dollar"

They don't advertise, its all word of mouth, so from me to you enjoy!

Food Inc was probably the most life changing movie I will ever see! Everyone should watch it! I'll even buy it for you just to convince you! I loved it and I can say I've never eaten healthier and treated food as fuel more in my life than in this past week. Tomorrow off to Whole Foods for some grocery shopping! Go watch Food Inc.! (We downloaded it through itunes)

I couldn't leave that depressing post up as the latest and greatest in the Wilson lives... so here ya go, beautiful Turks and Caicos. I can't wait. I told Chris we needed to invest in our marriage and some how I talked mister frugality in to a cruise. we got an amazing deal and I just cannot wait! I'm so excited and I just cant hide it. It will probably be the last vacay for a while so I'm going to live it up.

I think usually I'm a pretty positive person, I guess optimistic would be the word but not at mothers day. i feel its a day that should only be celebrated for the mothers who have it all together. i think mothers day always makes me more aware of the fact that i am not nearly the mother I want to be nor should I be celebrated. eh a work in progress i guess.

April/very end of March updates

This was today they were so cute. Statt was giving her kisses and they both sat still...miracle. giada is going to be a handful. I feel my life has changed with this one. Statton has always been cautious. She will be a dare devil last night I was doing the dishes and my mommy intincts said to turn around. GIADA was on the island behind me. She climbed on to Statton's chair, the little table and then the counter! 11 months old!

Could not have asked for a better picture. Elder Holman had just been set apart as an official missionary!

We went to Mamo's house to watch the suns game and gave Giada her first bath in the sink. It's a must for all grandchildren to take a bath in her sink.

This was statt in his bath a baby on one of our trips down from Seattle. The picture above it is everyone giving him that bath...we were like celebrities coming to town. Below would be the two year old Statton who wanted to be like Gigi. He played for a bout a half and hour.

This little guy is potty trained. There were a few disgusting moments and a few times I wish I had had a thousand more patience but he did great and it was pretty easy. Potty trained March 2010

Giada celebrated her first Easter! She is precious and getting to be soooo unbelievably busy. She walks and is in to everything. Her favorite thing to do is eat dirt. If she wakes up first from nap time, she looks around for Statton until he wakes up. She plays by herself, Alleluia!Some thing she will have to teach her brother how to do. Her voice is so raspy and loud. She yells all the time, happy yells, though. Her smile is contagious and she does it all the time.

another update my grandma passed away. It's interesting how it takes a death to really make you appreciate life. I watched a Helen Keller cartoon today and I want to vow to never take anything for granted. i love my babies my family my sisters my husband who puts up with me and all my moodiness...but no more no more moodiness. I have a great life and I better appreciate it.

Triumphant! Down with Oil Companies - 600 miles on 1 Tank

So, after braving the last 70 miles with the gas light on and the bars of fuel non-existant on my display I made it to the holy grail of MPG. I puchased my little hybrid in March of 2009 and tried multiple times to get to that 600 mile mark on one tank of gas but each time I tried the logical side would get the best of me. This time was different, with AAA on my side and a freeway with no traffic for the last leg of the adventure I decided to brave it and drive on empty. In my wake are a lot of angry drivers because I was in the slow lane, going very slow (55 mph) and barely accelerating enough to get my car up to speed. After all, speed means more fuel and I didn't have that luxury! So, as proof, I took some shots and no, I don't cary a wide angle lens where ever I go. Friday we celebrated Grady's 3rd birthday with a party at the park and then later on that night Bryndan took out his endowments at the Mesa temple(for those not LDS it means he went to the temple for the first time and is a pretty big event) It was so neat to be there with all my siblings and mom. We of course went to the Holman favorite spot In n Out. It was a special night. Aunt Jess and Grandma came and picked up the babies to go play at bounce jungle. The kids love their Aunt Jess more than anything. Statt man will do just about anything for his aunt Jess and this time she taught him to stick his finger in his belly button, sniff it, and say "eeewh stinky". Thanks Jess.

Saturday was a good Saturday... I love it when we get to have Chris at home with us. It feels like he is always doing weddings. Last weekend he had 3 weddings 1 on Friday, 2 on Saturday! Yesterday was great, he only had senior pictures to do. kissablephotos.com

Today Bryndan talked in church and then we had dinner at my moms. It was soo cute by the end of the day Jo's little girl Varsity was the only still clothed. Grady and Statt were running around in superman underwear, Good times nice and relaxing and best of all DRAMA free.

I think tomorrow we are going to get Gigi's ears pierced..I feel rediculous for being so sentimental about putting a hole in those cute perfect little ear lobes. Here I am with a perfect little girl and I'm going to pierce her... doesn't that just sound bad? My other reservations is that I feel like I am introducing her to the "beauty world" It is such a short season of life for a girl to just be I admire girls who can feel great with no make up. al la natural! but if she is going to do it anyway later in life why not just do it. I had mine done as a baby and don"t remember anything so my little toastada it's your turn.

and statt started potty training. He's got the night times down but the day is a bit different. Only two accidents today, not bad, we wont speak of yesterday though.

our little orange tree produced one single solitary orange and it was delish!

funny story. last February we planted a garden. We really only had luck with watermelon and cantalope and even with those it got too hot before they were ready and they ended up spoiling. Fast forward to the Fall and I decide to give up on gardening and just have pretty flower bed. Everything from Last February sprouted I am inundated with romaine lettuce and peas and cabbage. I thought I had a ton of carrots utill chris informed me that my "impressive" carrots, as I refered to them, were actually weeds I figured he was wrong...what does he know he only grew up on a ranch... and what'ya know it was just a stinking huge weed! See how the purple flowers are running for their lives to not be smothered by a vegetable.

Has any one ever seen the movie ground hogs day? Sometimes I feel like I live in it. Wake up to Gigi wanting to eat. make oatmeal for Stat. turn on sesame street. Lay gigi down for nap. color with statt. Lunch. play with the train table. Nap for both kiddos. Wake up play out side. start dinner. eat dinner . bath. bed time. My day over and over with a few changes here and there but the majority of the time this is it.

Ilove watching my babies play together. I dont think I get a bigger joy out of anything. I hope they will be best buddies. I always wanted an older brother. Statton and I always have this conversation after he hurts Giada about how he's the big brother and need to to protect her. "You are her one and only very special big brother". The other day she fell on the crate that holds all our toys and Statt came running in when he heard her cry, "I Beetect you Gigi Mu". My heart did a snuggle. One of those pay day moments when you think, "ok, I must be doing something right!"

My friend Amber will apprecitae this one. I love that Gigi is like, "Ok mom take the picture I'm acting like I'm pushing really hard." something I would totally do!

Gigi is trying to go all tom boy on me. she loves the out doors and loves to eat dirt. I make her wear these ultra padded pants because I'll find her crawling in the killer shap rocks. Notice how black the knees are in the pictures above.

~another side note for the week. I think my children are going to have the lowest cholesterol on the planet. Gigi eats multi-grain cherrios like there's not tomorrow and Statt goes through one and a half #10 cans of oat meal a week!

Last night Chris and I were up very late, but we still had 8 o'clock church. The alarm went off at 6:30 and we got compeltely ready in recoed time, SCORE we're going to make it church on time today. Then I got to Gigi, got her dressed and fed again record time. Then to Statton's room. I set him on his dresser and take off his jammies, almost have his white shirt on and then he starts coughing and then spewing throw up all over me. not the first time and definitly not the last. It's tru love when you are trying to catch their throw up in your hands and don't think twice about it. Thankfully we got through the day with alot of this

this has been our days lately. My sister was put on best rest with number three at 20 weeks. People in her ward were helping out until sickness set in and then it was off to Aunt Rae's house. Grady and Bren both have pink eye and ear infections. Convenient because I had my two in on Monday and they both have ear infections but good news Statt didn't break Gigi's nose-(more to come on that later) I have six bottles of pink Amoxicilian in my Fridge. Today I gave 11 doses of Amoxcilian, 6 doses of pink eye drops and 2 doses of Tylenol. This picture was taken last week when they all felt descent.

Now and Then. Gi slept in swing while sick her post nasal drip stuff made her couch till she threw up. any way since it was out Statt wanted in her swing. It made me think of this picture back in our apartment in Washington

While feeding the little girls I told the boys to clean up the toys and they would get marshmallows...not to bad for two, two year olds.(that's the lion)

To whom it may concern...We LOVED it.

My family had this tradition. 12 days before Christmas we would start "elfing" a family. Every night we would sneak up to their door, drop off a present and run! It was my favorite family tradition. The fun of being sneaky, getting in a disguise usually blankets thrown over us and my mom covering the car light as we got out of the car, it was so much fun. Well, this year we were ELFed.

My friend Andrea is the Queen of lists. At any given time she could have 4-5 (possibly more) lists going. It's totally rubbed off on me. I admire organized people, I try, I really do, but Im just not. So I've been noticing "Wow I have a lot of Lists" yesterdayis when I realized I have a problem. I was wishing I had a list pad attached to my stroller and while I was parked at a stop light I quickley grabbed an old receipt and started feverishly writting a list. You would think I would be more oragnaized with these list but only 60% of the things on th lists get done because I have so many list they are never in the same spot all together....any way these are my morning frusterations.

Gigi mu turned one half on the twelfth! Story behind the name"mu". Chris and I were calling her missy Moo and stattman shortened it to Moo. I changed the spelling Mu, it's a little less farm animal like and a bit more posh. It's the cutest term of endearment I've ever heard. When you ask Statt what his sister's name is he says Gi-mu-ada and he only refers to her as Gigimu. I love it. She's our Mu bear.

I got my christmas cards done today and it's late, I can't sleep and was just looking at them making finale changes. I love looking at my cute little family and can't believe this is mine. A fun pudgy litle girl who just makes my heart sing. And a handsome little buddy who keeps me on my toes all day and says the funniest things. The other day I was watching one of my guilty pleasure TV shows that when I hit play on the DVR I know I shouldn't be watching this but it was my birthday, and I was sick so why not,...I turn it on and Statt from no where yells, "Mom, jesus yuvs you mom! watch profit, watch confince." translation-"Mom Jesus loves you, watch prophet, watch confrence," and the show was deleted. . And as for Chris, I really started taking him for granted lately. Last week I was thinking of all that he does. I couldn't think of one thing he can't do from plumbing to working on cars, to photography and working on computers. He can dance, sing, plays the guitar but then loves watching and playing sports ....the list could go on and on. I think back to when we were newlyweds and how much I loved him and I did, but now its a deeper more mature love. I couldn't be more blessed to have a husband who is so good at showing howmuchhe cares for me. He really gets me flowers every 12th of the month, he really brings Giada to me in the middle of the night to feed her and then when she's done puts her back in her crib. It's crazy how I have gotten so used to these things and just over look them but they are huge, HUGE!
My cup trully runneth over and I am so blessed and thankful. I really could not have wished a more perfect life. Sure there are rough days and ups and downs but man, life is good...it's really that good.

The night started off with a trip to grandma Jenny's retirement community. She wanted to show off her great gand kids.(who could blame the lady) It was so neat to see the smiles you bring to their faces just by walking around and talking to them.

Gigi's costume was definitly a conversation piece with many of them remembering when The Wizard of Oz first came out 70 years ago. We talked with one lady who was 102 years old and still spunky!

Statton was such a stinker bug with his costume. Every time I got out BamBam to put on he was would yell "NO Bam BAM DOESN"T FIT, too tight." I've never heard my son cry harded than having his costume on. I had to bribe hime with candy just to get it on. You really would have thought I was taking him to the dentist or something instead of trick or treating. Only in AZ could your child be practally naked trick or treating and not be cold.

He always has to point out whenever his sister is touching him, "A Gigi Mu a touching my arm!"

SO my phone has been broken for over a month now. I could only text when my phone felt like it. I could only see the screen if I took the battery out and put it back in and while the screen was lit up I could call someone but if I got a text message and it went to that screen in order to dial out I would have to do the battery process all over again! Not to much fun. I finally got a new phone but Chris had it with him at work and then had to leave straight from work to a scout camp. No worries after a month what's one more day without a phone.
Yesterday Chris runs in from scout camp, activates my phone and I run to the store before he has to leave to shoot a wedding. As I'm pulling out of the garage he come and hands it to me. While I'm in the store I go to make a call but I dont have my phone its in the car. Get back out to the car it not there. No worries it must have fallen under the seat I'll get it when Im home. time a tick'n here. Then what the heck here's a Walmart and I need to get another sewing machine since mine broke sewing Statts BamBam costume last night and that what I plan on doing tonight alone with out a husband. So run in and out of Walmart, get it, good to go. Get home really start looking for the phone to call Chris and let him know how much I appreciated him using his short "free" time to activate my phone and how happy I am to have it. No Phone any where! It's not in the car, purse, bags nothing.

So my little outing was pointless. The first stop I have to return the outfit for Gigi doesn't fit, and my sewing Machine from Walmart had been used...it had no needles, there was a package for needles it was ripped open with none inside and it is missing attachments and the bobbins were already threaded....I'm so annoyed. I never even made one call on my new phone.

Chris woke up early to cut the grass on Saturday... Gigi and I were awakened to two boys saying "mommy come yook." This is what our eyes beheld, a mowed heart in the grass. We felt loved. It's a perfect heart made with our not so easy to move lawn mower, but would I expect anything less thanperfection from Mr. Chris? Nope definitely not! It was a great start to a conference weekend.

We came in from the car and as I was unloading the groceries I put Giada in the swing. Next thing I know I look over and this is the view. FACE plant right on her nose sleeping. The saddest part was when I picked her up her entire face was covered in drool...

Statton has been saying for a while now, "Two yittle boys" in a not so usual sweet calm voice? I thought oh no he can see that there are two little brothers to come one day in the far distance future, but rest assured when he I was taking these pictures of them playing together he kept saying "two yittle boys," so he thinks Gigi's a boy.

     I love my little Miss Gi. She has been sick now for two weeks and I just can't stand listening to her suffer with a stuffy nose. We went back in to the doctor again this week and this little four month girl weighs 17lbs 12oz. That's only 4oz away from 18 pounds. Slow down gigi girl.
    Giada you are such a joy to be around. You smile and koo all the time. Your favorite friends are the fan (we call him friend-da-fan) and your two delicious hands that you chew on all the time. Your smile is contagious and I love getting to be your mommy.
     Get better soon sweet pea but I have to say even sick you are a good sleeper and mommy appreciates that!

We blessed gigi on July 26th. Chris gave her a beautiful blessing we are so lucky to have this little piece of deliciousness in our family.

the story of her dress. I was going to try and make it and I did make one. I thought to myself "why am I trying so hard to make her dress?" and then my answer, "Well I want tit to be an heirloom piece something she will hold on to and maybe her babies would be blessed in it." Well who knows if any article of clothing I make would actually with stand a washing machine or last 20+ years. Why was I not haivng her wear my dress? My grandma made my blessing dress thus fulfilling the heirloom characteristic and that was that, she was going to wear my dress.
My sister tried talking me into her wearing the bonnet but I'm more of a flower headband girl. The moment I put the bonnet on her, and saw those chubbo cheeks sticking out, I was sold she was wearing the bonnet.

For father's day I surprised Chris with fifth row ticket s to see George Strait in Utah. I don't think I have ever been so excited about giving a present. Everyday I contemplated telling him at least 10 times but I couldn't ruin the surprise. He thought I was getting him garage cabinets. sneaky me leaving price quotes around the house and ads up on the computer or randomly asking questions about wood finishes and if he would ever like to have a work bench in garage etc... I only last five hours in to fathers day before I told him. Yep 5:00am I had to give him his present, I couldn't last one more minute. Needless to say he was excited. George Strait is pretty much the only person we would really care to see in concert. He has more number ones than any other artist ever! Any who here's the fun from our trip...

It all started with leaving Statt at home with his Aunt Jess. They had ice cream sundaes and in this picture they were experimenting with gell in Statton's hair. Thanks Jess

Our gate was b15c...why is there two letters there? Well it's because we took the smallest plane ever they fit 3 plane at one gate. The AC didn;t work while we were on the ground only in the air. And a lady got on with a seat assignment of 14A, 13 was the last row on the plane??? Row 13 had been crossed out and written in pen over top of it was a 14. Here we are on the tarmac. If felt like we had been dated 30 and expected to see chicken running around. WE had to cover Gigi's ears when the big planes taxied by...weird.And here is Temple Square. First stop the Lion house, I could eat all day every day there it's amazing. Temple square was gorgeous as usual.

WE stayed with this fun crew. It was the first time I met Chris' sister April. She's the type of person wherejust meeting her means your friends with her. She makes you feel so warm and welcome. I think it would be hard to find a person who couldn't get along with her.
April watched giada for us. I loved it this picture was taken as we were leaving and it's as if she saying, "listen here Aunt April when my parents are a away I rule the house." She would not stop grabbing her hair...it must be difficult to not know you have hands.
Julienne Hough was first to take the stage and pretty much what I got from her preformance is she is stinkin hot and can actually sing. (Chris thinks she's pretty cute too but in order to enter the "hot" category she would need to dress modestly....Giada's going to have dress like nun.

I realize the man could be my Dad but he is way cute. I'm a sucker for Blue eyes and I 'm not a fan of Wranglers on anyone but him.Pretty much on the drive home I asked Chris if we could move to Texas? (he said no) Go hunting? he said yes but you'd hate the guts... Ride in Rodeo? he said I guess, if you want me to. Learn to play the guitar? He said he already knew how to. oh yeah but not like George strait....George strait was my first concert and a good one it was... I love boomerang gifts!

When we were dating(chris and I, not george strait it would have never worked out :) ) I knew he would be a great husband but it is really such a bonus of the dad he is. I know Chris would love to be a stay at home dad, Statt would already know his alphabet and Gi would probably be speaking in sentences. He is such a good example of our Heavenly Fahers love for us. Chris has so much patience and really knows how to cherish the small moments with the kids and takes indivual time to focus on each of them daily. My kids are so lucky to have him. I know that what ever I lack as mom he makes up ten fold as a dad!

It's crazy how time just keeps going. Here again is another fourth of July post. It's pretty much the exact same post from year to year the only things that change are the kids. Statton is much bigger last year he was crawling and now he's gettign ready to turn 2. Gigi celebrated her first fourth and I all I kept thinking of was next year. She'll be over one and probably walking. For some reason "Time" has really been the focus of my thoughts these days.. I think kids and blogging does that to you. One day day you see you a baby ticker on blog you stock before you know it you're reading the happenings of the birth and shortly after it's them eating their first birthday cake....

Lady Liberty
so there usually is one flat that blows the reat of the pick up truck candy throwing floats to pieces and this was it. THe Statue of Liberty was so tall and every one was really impressed. Check out how many people are in the street to take pictures...

they had this old picture of the cousins taken all together years ago..it was hilarious good laughs. So with those who were there they tried to re-create it. I must say you all look much better now blame the parents for the fashion feaux paus of the past...oh and the hair cuts too.

Because of the H1N1 virus kids weren't allowed beyond the waiting room. So, Statt met his sister at home. He loved her. First he "honked" her nose, then he licked her and then came kisses. He is working on being gentle but I have a feeling this chick is going to be a tough one. He doesn't quite understand why he isn't allowed to carry her around with him....
